Winter has arrived! With the temperature dropping and in my desperate need for a winter coat my mind drifts to the enormous, multi-layered looks of Balenciaga’s Winter 18 collection. We saw looks created with layers upon layers of turtlenecks, chunky knits, woollen blazers, check coats and of course, the oversized down coats to complete the look. 

This November saw creative director, Demna Gvasalia release his first coffee table book depicting the development of their Winter 18 collection. Gvasalia invited photographers Johnny Dufort and Pierre-Ange Carlotti to document the creative process in the lead up to the Paris Fashion Week showcase. Dufort and Carlotti were the only 2 photographers allowed backstage on the day and now we get our sneak into the hecticness of the behind the scenes in this 300+ page book.
